About Us

Model Cities - El Paso is: An alliance of many El Pasoans concerned about the harmful effects pornography has on our children and families. Offshoot of The Model Cities of America Campaign and affiliated with the National Coalition for the Protection of Children & Families; we support community-driven efforts to battle pornography and its harms, especially as it relates to sexually oriented businesses like gentlemen's clubs, and adult video stores.

• Our Vision and Our Mission: To Build and Strengthen Healthy Marriages and Families and to Protect our Children and Families from the harms of pornography and sexually oriented businesses.
• We operate mostly off donated dollars from dedicated members of this community and many wonderful volunteers who share our same vision  and truly care for the families of El Paso.

The Model Cities of America Campaign is working to accomplish the following objectives in El Paso and other strategic cities across the country:

• Increase public awareness on this delicate but real situation
• Develop restrictive zoning ordinances to keep these businesses out of our neighborhoods and away from our schools
• Support the enactment and enforcement, within the Constitution, of limitations on pornography and offer assistance to families harmed by pornography.
